Bionic Commando Rearmed comes out today on XBLA and with this classic Capcom remake not only do you get a villain that looks suspiciously like another major Capcom villain, but if you download the game, full or demo version, and play it your gamertag gets entered into a drawing for up to 100,000 Microsoft Points. Just imagine what you could even use that many points on. Its all part of the Summer of Arcade event for the Xbox Live Community for the whole month of August, and Bionic commando is the 3rd out of 5 games in the contest already. The next two are Galaga Legions and then Castle Crashers, both of which I'm looking forward to.

Sorry we haven't had any news up in a while, and as you know a few new developments have hit the game world, so this will be a news filled post.  Soul Calibur IV came out on Tuesday the 29th, and there were some rumors that the Jedi Legends exclusive to each console would be downloadable on the other console.  That means that Darth Vader would be available for the 360, and Yoda would be available on the PS3.  Namco has since made a statement  that  there are no plans to do so, but  they could change their minds at anytime so don't get your hopes down.  Also, the Cagney update  for the PS3 that will be released on the 10th of July has finally come out for the Xbox 360.  The update was relesed Monday the 4th of August and gives 360 owners a fresh coat of paint with 3 new online modes, new cars and a good amout of bug fixes, and as always go to www.criteriongames.com for the full update details.  I will  be doing reviews for both of the games in the near future so keep an eye out for some new content on the site.  Last but not least, the rumored list I put up for Guitar Hero World Tour is also been denied so no Tool or Slayer yet kiddies.

If you own the Xbox 360 version of Burnout Paradise then you'll have to wait even longer than expected for the update named Cagney.  Cagney is the update thats supposed to add new cars, new online challenges, and new online modes.  PS3 owners were able to download it July 10th and Xbox 360 owners were supposed to get it the 14th but they found some bugs in the update, and they must be some bad ones because they've pushed the date from the end of July to August 4th at the earliest.  Head over to www.criteriongames.com for the official news and an apology from the staff.

It's almost time for Soul Calibur IV to come out in the U.S. and there's already a rumor that Namco is planning on having Darth Vader on the 360 version as downloadable content, at least according to www.GamersReports.com.  According to them they have a few screenshots and a video from Namco depicting a training match with Yoda vs. Vader.  They also add that they don't know whether this will be free DLC or if you will have to pay for it, and that it is probably in planning for the PS3 version of the game as well.  However, they do claim that the screens and the video are 100% unedited and unhacked.

The supposedly leaked set list for the upcoming Guitar Hero World Tour has been exploding around the internet for a little while now and if you haven't seen it yet then you may want to take a look at it.  It has everything from Rush and Pink Floyd to Slayer and Megadeth. Its got a more appealing set list if you ask me but I'd say its not for everyone.  I'll post it on the forums because if I posted it to the front page it would destroy itself from an overload of awesome.  That and it would take up half the page.

The finalized box art for Spore was released yesterday by Maxis.  The game is supposed to be released on September 7th of this year, which is just over a month from now.  Not much time for everyone to make even more boob and penis creatures, or maybe even some good creatures.  My favorite is the one on the far right with the club, he looks ready for anything.  Click the picture for a larger image.

Starting tomorrow, Nintendo is facing a ban on Gamecube, Wavebird, and Wii Classic Controllers.  The small company Anascape Ltd. is alleging copyright infringement against Nintendo claiming that Brad Armstrong, one of their employees I'm assuming, spent years developing controllers that control six types of motions in his garage in the 70's.  They also allege that they were trying to get into the business but that Nintendo is "clogging the channel.  The judge overseeing the case gave Nintendo the ban order to start tomorrow, and Nintendo does plan to appeal.  Sony and Microsoft have already been charged with the same but have already settled out of court.  Click Here for the full story.

Today is July 19th and its only 10 days before the official release of Soul Calibur IV on the PS3 and Xbox 360, and there are already alledged leaks getting out onto the Internet from various sources.  One of the leaks is only the Character Select and Mode Select screens, but another is the Opening Movie for the PS3 version of the game.  Its not very good quality and its very spoilerific so if you want to wait then don't peek.  These are the first leaks I've heard about so far but I'm sure they won't be the last.  I'll put the links onto the forum page for this story, and remember that they are spoilers so if you wan't to wait for release and the better looking stuff then don't hit the link.  You might just regret it.

Finally, a way to comunicate with other gamers while connected to the Wii WiFi network.  The Wiispeak accessory is a device that looks like it will connect into the USB ports on the back of the Wii system, and let's you communicate with other people playing that particular game.  The device will be included with Animal Crossing Wii this holiday season or sold separately for $29.99.  The only games it is confirmed to be compatable with as of yet is Animal Crossing Wii and The Conduit, but I'm sure more titles will be included in future announcements as it gets closer to release.
